Careers at the lab behind QEval.
QEval is built by ETS Labs, the engineering lab inside Etech Global Services. Everything we ship runs on our own contact center floor before a customer ever sees it. If you want your work tested by 4,000 agents who will tell you the truth, this is that job.
ETS Labs builds for QEval.
ETS Labs is the engineering arm of Etech Global Services, a contact center operator running 4,000+ agents across 7 sites since 2003. QEval is what happened when the operator got tired of QA tools built by people who had never run a floor.
That origin shapes the work. Most software teams guess what their users need, then wait a quarter for feedback. Here, the users sit in the same building. A scoring model that misreads sarcasm gets caught by a QA analyst before lunch. A coaching workflow that adds clicks gets rejected by a supervisor the day it ships. The feedback loop is measured in hours.
We are the first customer of every release. The platform scores our own operation before it scores anyone else's, which is why the accuracy number goes in the contract.
From floor problem to shipped feature.
The build loop that produced QEval®.
Where you could fit.
The teams that build and run QEval. Openings vary; these are the standing disciplines.
Roles span our Texas headquarters and global sites. Each posting lists its own location and work arrangement.
Four things that are true here.
The floor is the spec.
When a design question stalls, we walk downstairs and watch. Agents, supervisors, and QA analysts using the product in production settle arguments faster than any document.
Evidence over opinion.
Every score the platform gives cites the conversation turn that earned it. The same standard applies internally: claims come with data, and the accuracy number is measured, not asserted.
Ship small, ship often.
Because our first customer is ourselves, releases go out in small increments and get judged the same week. Nothing sits in a branch waiting for a quarterly launch.
No black boxes.
We publish how the model works, hold it to a contractual SLA, and say plainly what QEval does not claim. People who like defending their work with evidence do well here.
How hiring works.
Four steps, no theater.
QEval and ETS Labs roles are posted through Etech Global Services careers. Mention ETS Labs or QEval in your application so it routes to the lab.
What candidates ask us.
Is ETS Labs a separate company from Etech?
ETS Labs is the engineering and product arm of Etech Global Services. Etech runs the contact center operation; ETS Labs builds QEval and the technology stack. You would be hired into the lab, working alongside the operation.
Do I need contact center experience?
No. Most of the lab came from software, ML, and data backgrounds. What you need is the willingness to learn the domain from the people downstairs; the floor teaches it faster than any onboarding deck.
Where are the roles located?
Headquarters is Nacogdoches, Texas, with 7 operating sites. Each posting lists its own location and work arrangement rather than a blanket policy.
What is it actually like building next to a live floor?
Fast and honest. Your work gets used within days by people who have no reason to spare your feelings, which is the point. Engineers who have shipped into silence tend to find it addictive.
Build the platform that reads every conversation.
3 billion conversations a year, a contractual accuracy bar, and a floor of 4,000 agents who will tell you exactly how your last release landed.
